I cut this daffodil several weeks ago and put it in a vase in a window. As it wilted, it began to slump and that is what attracted me to the flower. The techniques here are a bit of zoom blur, and the poster edges filter in PS.

Not sure how I feel about this image. At first I thought it was a dead flower coming out from an IPHONE screen. I do like the zoom effect. It made me stop and spend some time viewing. Did you photograph this while it was still on the window ledge? If so it would explain some of the background. With the remnants of the shadows.
Except for a little bit of vertigo, I love it! The simplicity of the vase's form and recognizable bloom and leaf make a highly engaging visual.
Thank you Linda. I agree it does make one a bit woozy after a while. The fun part for me was combining a camera effect with a purely electronic enhancement from PS. The more I look at it, the more I like it. Thanks for taking a look and commenting. Erich

I shot the flower inside a soft box. There was light coming from the window behind the vase. The fabric was making some strange waves in the viewfinder because of the light filtering through the back of the soft box. That is what made those strange shadows. Thanks for taking a look and commenting. I totally understand you mixed feelings. Erich
I really like this. A nice simple subject with a creative twist. Drying flowers make an interesting subject as they droop.
This flower was originally in a different vase, and I took some photos when it was fresh. Then I just left it in the vase to see what it would turn into. I love the way the stem drooped and made the flower hang upside down. Then I moved it to a more decorative vase and started playing. I'm glad you enjoyed the image. Thanks. erich

Interesting and well done, like Frank I'm pondering. Thanks for sharing Dave
