A selection of sights at night in Dallas. Night shots are a lot of fun and are really forgiving to small mistakes. Shooting in groups as several of these were makes it even more fun.
From the river bottoms south of downtown. Not a safe place to go at night alone but there happened to be about 30 of us so we were pretty safe.

From the west side of the downtown area. That's the Trinity River in the foreground. It's rarely bank to bank but we had some pretty serious flooding when I took this one.

The Texas Star at speed. by varying your shutter speed you can create different patterns. Never know what you will get so just fire away and be surprised.

The Texas Star at rest. Shooting during the State Fair gives you one target rich environment as Maverick would say.
The Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge from the west side of downtown. When it was constructed the Continental Street bridge was converted to a pedestrian walkway.

Nice night shots, Dean-enjoyed!
I don't think I've ever seen "Dallas by night," so these shots are interesting. I'll admit that I'm not fond of cities and try to avoid them, but seeing what gets lit up and what doesn't reveals an attitude that one doesn't get during the day. I like you statement about nighttime shots being forgiving. That's true and makes the city look much more inviting.
Very good night shots, Dean.
