Pentax KP help please.

My Pentax KP, which I have used for years and love, has suddenly started taking double and triple exposures and I have no idea why or what to do. Read the manual several times and am clueless. I know there used to be a Pentax repair center in Chandler, Arizona if I remember correctly. Does anyone know if it still exists or where else I could send my Pentax to be checked out. Thank you for any help or advice.

Did you check to see if some form of 'auto exposure bracketing' has been turned on, where the camera will take multiple exposures from one shutter 'press'?

You said double or triple exposure you mean it takes double or triple exposure that is 2 or 3 exposure on the same frame? or it just takes 2 or 3 shots? If the later possible you drive setting is on continuous rather than single.

"auto express bracketing" not on and the 2 or 3 exposures are on the same frame, not multiple shots on continuous. Also having issues with the flash working consistently. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. The same issue with the double/triple exposures. Shot my grand-daughter's school sports day yesterday, and about 30% of the shots were fine and the rest were not. Thanks for the help everyone.

Check the idea about the drive mode. The flash not having time to recycle for a burst of images might be an indication of this setting being a problem.

Are you talking about KRIS camera? They're still there. Arizona Camera Works is on Arizona Ave. Morris is really good and usually less expensive than others.

I had the same problem with my Oly tough, turns out I had multiple exposures set to 20 with every press of the button.

I have a KP and was getting two shots for every one. Just started doing it, and I couldn't figure out what I accidently touched to set it off, including RTFM. Reset fixed it. I don't have too many custom settings, so it wasn't too traumatic. In Menu, it's the fifth column after the picture of the wrench, down at the bottom.

I suspect it was pro-capture mode not just 20 shots. A fantastic feature, btw, in you learn how to use it.
