The price increases aren't working. They are looking into bargain menus. I had an "In-n-Out" double double the other day and the price was the same as it's been for a long time. Don't usually go to fast food places and can't comment on anyone else's prices. The highest price doesn't always generate the most money. I think "In-n-Out" already payed more than most fast food places. If your taxes go up because working people are needing to use welfare to survive, does that save you money? I have no idea what you make, so maybe your taxes don't amount to anything. Mine are more than I used to make. If that's what it takes so that people don't starve in the streets, than I'm for it.

I don’t get what the big deal is with In-in-Out burger joints. I find that their food is mediocre at best but my family members that visit her from Alaska rave about it, apparently they don’t have them in Alaska

I like them, but if you don't, that's fine. They have a pretty simple menu, but that's probably a good part of why it works. My wife liked their "animal fries". I can't stand them. Different tastes. "Five guys" are good but I think they are too expensive and their portions are to large for me.
If we don't start yelling at each other someone will probably complain. I don't know if you are even allowed to be polite in the attic.

Ha ha Ya I am allowed to be polite in the attic, I do as I please. You have been relatively polite to me so I return the respect.

For instance. California raised the minimum wage that effected chain restaurants with more than 60 stores national wide, they had to raise the price about 10% and now many lower income patrons can’t afford those prices. But the other side of that coin is that ow they are dining at smaller restaurants that are more affordable. Pros and cons in this case. But that wasn’t the point anyway.

They made the minimum wage $20 an hour and the economic columns and reporters are saying we have just seen the start of the price increases.
They are also predicting a cut in staff so service will go down and a lot of jobs lost.

Nope, when you raise taxes on the job creators and businesses, they pass those tax raises onto the consumers, they basically have to just like they do when you raise the minimum wage. Those minimum wage hikes effect not just those that are making those minimum wages.

Yet when the corporations enjoy the benefits of tax cuts, they're NOT passing those cuts on to the consumer, instead, they're passing the windfall profits on to their shareholders.

I don’t disagree with that, But you’re also ignoring The other part of the argument is that when you raise taxes on these businesses, they pass that tax onto the consumer. So in reality, the businesses are not paying the taxes we are.

They don't use ammonia in hospitals.

for good reason because they already use bleach. You do not want to mix the two. Remember, the people using it in a hospital have to have just enough smarts to man a mop.

Must be a Republican.

I know plenty about what happened including those arsehole New Yorkers that fled NYC for their summer homes on the Cape. I was delighted to see that the Rhode Island troopers stopped them but unfortunately not until so many had gone through that over half of a full lot at my local grocery store was NY plates. Those NY arses descended like locusts and left us locals with nothing all because they were crapping themselves to escape New York. That's how much confidence they had in Cuomo.

Please do be polite in the Attic. It sets an example for some others.

In-and-Out, Five Guys both are good, not great, good. I just had an Arby's roast beef for my very late lunch. I was doing errands, Dr Apt and tried to take a nap-no luck, I had my hearing aids* in, and they pick up the birds in the yard just fine. Sounds like I have a flock of them perched on my head.
Carl's and Jack in the Box are a bit better in my opinion but I am fixated on McDonald's. The first one I ever saw was 1/2 block from the college I went to my first two years and it was our college cafeteria for 1 1/2 years until the new campus outside town opened with a cafeteria and its own park.
A former Vice President left his family estate to the Kentucky state college system to be a combined public and VA college. The old family mansion was the admin offices and library. Rolling hills with forest and open meadows mixed, that new campus was beautiful.
