Steve ,q my husband and Otis, our chihuahua. We adopted Otis about 7 years ago from a animal shelter. His previous owners were fostering him in their home so they could meet anyone interested in adopting him.We passed with flying colors and Otis made himself right at home.

It has been my experience that animals always find where they belong. Looks like a perfect match!

My wife and I have two rescues at home. It has been fascinating, watching their personalities develop over the past several years. Our little girl has taken five years of the six that she’s been with us to blossom and learn to play and fetch. She is still suspicious when we offer her a treat. Our little boy has been with us for nearly 4 years and only recently has become super affectionate.
Since both dogs were at least a year old when we got them, there is no way to know what they experienced as puppies. We get great pleasure giving them the love they deserve and watching them respond.

My Daughter brought her chihuahua over to our place a couple times and I used to crack her up. I would mention to her that I didn't think her dog liked me very much. She asked me what made me think that her dog didn't like me. I told her that every time I got close to him he would growl a little and he looked at me like he was saying something like, "You are way to close to me Ringo, back off - - - groooowl".
