Back in 2004, Mom asked me to take her to a lady who was raising her own vegetables and things, about twenty miles away from our place. Grandma wasn't home, but her grandson ably took care of us and showed us around. These are some shots of him and the creatures they kept. We had so much fun with this friendly young man that I drove back the next day and gave him a film camera I had. He hadn't ever had one before. These pictures bring back that lovely experience very vividly for me
The camera back in 2004 was a 5mp Sony F717 that took amazing pictures.
For an extra treat, after our wonderful experience, I spotted the old, red barn on the way back home ❤️
Great set. Looks like a great way for a young boy to grow up.
I love them all!
What a wonderful visit!
Adorable young man!
Love the animals..
Beautifully photographed!

As I posted the shots, I was thinking the same thing. I kind of grew up like that. My parents bought a cottage in Indiana in 1959 ($4000!!!), and I have gone there ever since. 65 years!!! I figure 30% of my life has been spent there, and I have seen and experienced all kinds of cool things. Every kid should have a chance to grow up like that - and then maybe we wouldn't have so many problems in the world
