Look what the cat brought in last night.
With so many posts I hesitated doing this. But to share a gift is good. So, last night one of my charity case cats brought in a baby bird. I was in bed and heard her meowing in a strange way and outside my bedroom door she had brought in a baby house finch bird. BUT it was not injured, a fledgling, so I made a nest and placed it next to my bed. This morning the baby would not eat. I started calling around and was refereed to the Rogers Wildlife Center in Hutchins Texas just south of Dallas which is about a 50 mile round trip for me so I took this little baby there. And it is doing good and will survive and be back in nature as it should be.
Now, I was very pressed for time BUT I had my Panasonic Lumix FZ300 with me still in spot mode from the eclipse event but went in and got some shots. They are not good. It was early and clouds had not cleared out yet so some in the cages I used the flash. Again, was not expecting to do this but quickly gor some so I wanted to share.
Now, MY main point is that I was so very moved that there are these places that care for the lovely birds and animals and I was not able to help this baby as it needed but they do. So, here is a few of the baby done with my cell phone and the others are poorly done while quickly going through the center.
