This is a 2023 SSC Tuatara. It was designed by the owner of SSC, Jerod Shelby. The car sells for $1,600,000. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 putting out 1,750 HP. It is currently the fastest car in the world....clocked at 316 MPH.
It may be streamlined, but I think it is ugly.
Sleek looking & not ugly for my driveway
At the speed of light you are there in an instant
Great Photo

I agree with you, Barbara. There's nothing pretty about that car.
I hear you, Jack. There would be two of us on the hunt for the 300 SL.
IT looks like the Batmobile on steroids ! ........thanks for sharing

Thanks for looking in and commenting, Ken. I doubt that you'll be alone in admiring the looks of this car. I'm impressed by the engineering involved, but I guess I'm just too old to fall under its spell...looks wise.

Everybody ought to have a peek at the fastest car in the world. As for looks...It's probably going to be the most diametrically opposed reaction I've ever seen over an automobile.

Beautiful work, Tom. I assume the lines are mandated by the speeds that machine will go.
Looks like it's going 60 MPH standing still. That's a lot of car! Well photographed Tom.

Thanks, Mike. Your assumption is spot on. Aerodynamics mandated everything about this design. Not only do you need something that really slips through the air, it must also create tremendous down force that keeps the car planted to the ground at these insane speeds.
See you.

I tell you, Don, I can't imagine trying to maneuver this thing around traffic in normal driving environments. I hope it has numerous cameras to let you know what's around you. I doubt street use played much of a role in the design parameters.
Well I guess I won't be picking up three of those! But I could probably do a little better than a couple hundred bucks off-loading the two extras!
I don't see ugly, I see testosterone! I guess that might be the same thing through some other's eyes!
As usual you’ve captured this very special automobile perfectly. As much as I like cars I too can think of a lof of others I’d spend 1.6 million one
