Choosing Pics for Eclipse Composite -- thoughts needed.

I'm going to create a composite photo of the "phases" of the eclipse. I'll either have 9 or 11 shots total with the center picture being of totality.

I have two 'artistic' questions.

First -- for my picture of totality, I'm trying to decide between two shots. Would love feedback of which one you would use.

Second -- On the phases, I'm trying to decide whether to 'correct' the exposure, so each shot has the same brightness, or use shots with the same shutter speed, which will mean that those shots will dim as we get closer to totality and brighten after totality.

Would love thoughts from the group.

I really like the first shot, but the solar flares on the second shot are just too good to pass up! Didn't see any other pre/post totality shots, but I personally would try to give them equal brightness. I'll look forward to your post of what you decide.

I like the second one.

I agree with you all on the second picture, but when I put it all together, the prominences didn't really pop. At the end of the day, I went with a third picture altogether which is somewhere between the two I posted. I still have a touch of tweaking to do with photoshop, but this is close to the final result.
