Sometimes, things don't always go as planned! That was my day. I went to the marina hoping to see Henri and Simon, my GBH's! Instead, neither were there, which to say was a disappointment is an understatement! The place just wasn't the same without them! I only saw four ducks and some turtles. I saw a dog in the water and may post that another time. The seagulls were also gone! Frustrated, I decided to go to a place I had been planning on trying, which is a historic station. It's a decent place, and I liked how they made it feel welcoming with these signs and how they label the trees. The discovery of a butterfly is also hopeful! However, I am trying to determine my next lens, and this experience has put me on a faster path! Bottom line, I couldn't shoot a thing! The only lens I have now is my Sigma 150-600mm. Great for my wildlife, but not much else. While my iPhone is good, I don't feel as comfortable with that yet.
So, while I did get some lovely Robin shots, which I know better to post here, what is shown is the extent of my great adventure! I felt like the kid on vacation: "All I got was a tee shirt!" After that, I headed back and went to work with my guys! They didn't fail me, as one little squirrel saved my day and gave me some cute tree-hole shots!
So this is something certainly different for me! While I would like to be respected for my work with my squirrels, I don't want to be known for that alone!
Just me branching out!
I love your signs and each tells a story. Well done Barb.

Very good set, Barb, now if only the critters could read?
Apparently so. I guess it was the guardbird!
Signs of the times (spring), Barb.

But you snuck the Robin in any way!
Looks like a great, Great Adventure!
I sometimes use my big zoom like some people use a macro. I stay far enough back so the minimum focusing distance doesn't become a factor, and shoot away. It's easier to see the big picture and the magnification of the big lens gives the photo a nice look with plenty of depth of field. It's a great way to get flowers and other stationary subjects, but a little difficult to follow fast moving insects.

Oh, you caught that!
I think another time this place might not be bad, especially if their garden has butterflies!
Yeah, for the one shot I wanted, I tried that, but I still couldn't get it. Such is life!
