If someone took identical photos with two different high end cameras, and made the same sized print, could someone tell the difference between the two prints ?

You may have misunderstood me. We are talking about one person (someone) taking two identical photos. Could you see a difference between two high end cameras ?
Well ok -- Just good equipment then -- "Maby" if you look hard enough there is a difference between say one being a Leica with its top-of-the-line lens vs. my Canon with its generally good enough "L" lens
