Imagine the turnabout where religious freedom (or freedom from religion based laws) is the reason to be pro-abortion. Each and every state will be grappling with that concept which may bring about the call for a uniform nation wide federal law. Lots of chaos, division and pain to get back to where the nation was.

How is it that you can call opposition to 2nd and 3rd term abortions a religious thing? Are our laws against homicide also a religious thing?

I'm not calling it anything. The state of TN is. Ask them and the states that follow their lead.

When considered as a woman's health issue, the recommendation based on safety of the woman does not extend the procedure into later terms so your argument is a non-starter.

Not familiar with the laws of TN, but in my opinion if there is a real threat to the mother's health then there should be no restrictions.

It was the administration of Alabama that stated that the "embryo" has human rights at the time of conception because it is "even at that point, in the image of god".
As soon as you tell me I can't do something because god doesn't like it, I assume it's a religious thing.
What I would like you to remember is that your religion prohibits you from doing or not doing certain things, it has no authority over me and is a clear violation of the separation of church and state.

It's a simple matter of self defense. Every woman has the right to defend herself from a fetus.
