Like this image Linda. The blacks from the fountain lights to the whites in the water spray has good range. The goose is a big plus. Well done.

Thanks so much, Don. There was a pair of geese on a rock formation in the water, but this lone goose flew in and began to call, and didn't stop or move away from the spray for several minutes. Lost a mate? Or he was a yearling wanting attention from his parents?

Thanks very much, Jack. Can't recall when I figured out it was best to under-expose my raw images shooting high contrast scenes, then to adjust in pp.

Maybe I learned that tip right here on UHH

Thanks Dan! I couldn't actually tell if the goose was loving his shower or not because of his pitiful-sounding calls. However, he spent significant time under the spray, so probably all good

Terrific composition as usual Linda. I don't know if you had any more headroom in the shot, but if so, I might consider cropping the lower portion of still water out. I find the reflection line of the sprayer that leads to the bottom left quadrant pulls my eye down instead of following the spray and the goose.

Thanks so much, Mike. Excellent suggestion! I did have room, but last evening I got a little carried away with deleting and taking out the trash, forgetting I had just posted this for comments.

I'l try to do better with my timing next time 🥰

Many thanks for your interest.

I really like the photo, Linda. But, to me the goose is a distraction; my eyes keep jumping back and forth from the fountain to the goose. Maybe that's just me.
Anyway, nice photo.
