We started our setup around 10A.M. the spent a good while figuring out how to track the sun!! once figured out we just sat around and tracking.About 12:45 we started shooting and tracking.
While I got some good images I am not real happy with them!!
But since this was my last chance (84 yrs old) for a total/ near total eclipse here are a few shots.
Camera:Nikon D810
Lens: Sigma 150-600 @600mm
Tripod:Gitzo GT5561, Wimberley WH200
Filter:Thousand Oaks Optical Solar White Light (580-630nm)
Settings: 1/20 sec, f6.3, iso 1000 ( should have been faster)
Live view (Oh oh it eats batteries) so I did not get the Pearl!! shot
Processed in PSCC to get the orange out!!
You can see the wispy clouds that caused the "flare"

Looks like you had fun. You did get a few nice ones too.
These look about like mine, Frank.
Beautiful eclipse series, Frank. Especially loved seeing Sharonβs setup and the image of the back of the D810 live view. Beautifully done.
