Scary but totally harmless....
If you are walking through the heavy brush in or near coastal Florida, you'll most likely run into a lot of these critters. If you happen to run into a web, check close and one of these ORB'S (Golden Orb Silk Weaver) may be on your shoulder, yikes...
There are many, many species of Orb Weavers, different sizes, shapes and colors and while they do have venom, they are non-aggressive and harmless to humans, however extremely dangerous to other insects up to including small snakes who may get caught in their extremely strong webs. These were taken walking on a boardwalk to the beach at a county park near Boynton Beach Florida....Cheers!
