Bird In Hole
Male Red Bellied Woodpecker getting the new house ready.
Not the best of pictures but I should get plenty of practice as the tree is about 50' out my back door.
Thank you Curmudgeon, Mike, kpmac and jdtonkinson. Hopefully I'll be able to get some shots of them feeding their young. The hole is 60+ feet up the tree but maybe I can talk my wife in to letting me climb up on the roof and getting some closer shots. Actually I think I'll pass on that.
Loved seeing this set, Jimmy. Very nicely done.
In general birds are pretty hard workers compared to some other wildlife. Nice catch.

Thank you. This guy is definitely putting in the time. Every time I go out to look, there he is. I'm sure he takes a lunch break occasionally but he does spend a lot of time at work
Thank you Ann.
I had to look up Iechyd da. The Chinese say "Gonbei" which means "Bottoms up" which would put me under the table. So I'll stick with the Welsh toast.

Thank you Joe. There was another bird bothering him today. Too far away to make it out without my glasses but it was dark and about the size of a Starling. The Woodpecker was not happy. I told him to do a Woody Woodpecker and peck the other birds head. Hopefully they will have a successful nest and family this summer. But nature isn't always kind. Time will tell.
Thanks for looking and the encouraging comment and many thumbs up 😊
