My point is that the raw data is not saved if you shoot JPEG only. And I can be sure of that. Saving the raw data is what takes the most work for the camera or the phone. The raw must be in the buffer and the buffer is fast but it got flushed often. Any other memory the camera or phone might have would be too slow to save raw unless that is what you want.
