Biden’s tax-and-spend budget forecasts endless red ink

It’s a congressional tradition to declare every president’s budget dead on arrival. This tends to happen regardless of party affiliation, but the particular document the White House released Monday is more lifeless than most.

“Biden’s budget doesn’t just miss the mark,” said House Speaker Mike Johnson, “it is a roadmap to accelerate America’s decline. … House Republicans reject Biden’s misguided budget proposal and have taken action to steer our nation back to a path of fiscal sanity.”

The legislative branch didn’t wait for President Biden’s tardy submission. Half of the 2025 spending measures have already been enacted, with Congress left to wrangle over the six remaining appropriations bills. That means Mr. Biden’s fiscal 2025 blueprint won’t have much impact. And that’s a good thing, because it would only contribute to our country’s financial disarray.

The president’s budget is nothing more than a request. Like your kids wanting a bigger allowance for less chores.

What difference does it make , congress has not done their job in decades and decades anyway . So presidents budget is a fairytale in the first place

What dont “you “get ?? congress decides where the money is spent not the president . His budget is a request only.
He doesn’t even have line item veto .
His only choice on where money is spent is a yes or no to the appropriations bills “ congress” sends him.
Go back and study high school civics

A "fairytale" is exactly in line with practically everything Biden has in mind.

Yes, but he could not resist the lie that it would reduce deficit spending by $3 Trillion over the next 10 years.

What does GBO say?

The returns on infrastructure bill and inflation reduction bill are higher than projected. Why do you think this will be different? He's overdelivered on promises - you can't say that about trump's only bill.
