I once had a 1950 Ford convertible. The obvious visual difference between the two years car were: the 1950 Ford had a small (perhaps 1.5" diameter) Ford emblem just above the grill and also one on the trunk lid. My Ford was black exterior paint with black convertible top with chartruse and black leather upholstery.
