Very nice.

Looks like David Hobbs standing behind the Falcon…https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Hobbs_(racing_driver)

Beautiful set Tom. I've heard of the Nardi sometime in the past. Road and Track maybe. I bet that Falcon would be a fun drive.

Thanks for the visit and for commenting.

Hobbs was there...I believe that is him. Years ago, I shared an incident with him that is indelibly buried in my memory. It was 1985. BMW was launching their new 5 series sedan at a big event held at the Road Atlanta facility.
They invited me to attend and to participate in the activities.

The highlight of the event was a chance to drive the new car around the race track, The program was this: They assigned a professional driver to each participant. My driver was David Hobbs. He would take me around for two laps, to show me the true potential in how well that car could handle. Then I got to take two laps with him sitting in the passenger seat.

As you might imagine, I was white-knuckled as he made that car do things I didn't think were possible. It was now my time. I made it around the track on the first lap at what I thought was a decent pace....with no drama. As we started my second lap, he committed that he thought I might want to pick up my pace a little. We came to a long, sweeping turn about halfway around the track. I lost the car...went spinning in one complete revolution and half of another....thank the lord, we didn't leave the track. There was a looooong moment of silence in the car. Then he looked at me....and said " That was quite a trick. I suppose for an encore you set yourself on fire "

If that Falcon runs as wild as it sounds, I don't want any part of it.

I suspect it does. I think I see a roll cage tucked in there
