Another thing to consider is, the earth moves at 1000 MPH, which equals 1466.67' per second...

Actually, it depends on what you mean when you say "the earth moves". The earth "rotates" at about 1000 MPH. It moves "through space" MUCH faster than that!
Something like 160,000 mile per hour, if I remember right!!
And way faster even than that if you consider how fast our galaxy moves through the universe!! Boggles the mind!!!
That's why I always use the fastest shutter speed possible!!

I was referring to rotation speed, as the speed of the earth and the speed though the universe would have no effect on the image...
