Great Blue Heron is chased by a Boat-tailed Grackle at Wakodahatchee. The Great Blue will steal chicks from the Grackle's nest and either eat them or feed them to it's chicks. Either way the male Grackle's job is to keep predators away from it's nest. In the next nano second the Grackle will actually nip the Great Blue's feet as if to say, "and stay away!!"
Nicely done. I have seen grackles chase herons, hawks, egrets, and other birds much larger than themselves.
