Topaz Gigapixel be used as an infinity plugin? Yes, but upgrades to AI programs cost $100 a year. But, we and our computers will not last to infinity... I find my computer and I are slowing down and will not go to infinity. In sad fact, infinity did not look to be interesting as shown at the end of "2010 A Space Oddity."

Mathematicians have an affinity to use the vague word infinity... it is the place where parallel lines meet. In photo construction that is called a vanishing point construction.

My apology Cwilson341 ... but playing with words is fun.

Seriously tho, https://docs.topazlabs.com/gigapixel-ai/user-guide takes me to the instructions for my Gigapixel and will enhance my ability to use it beyond my present primitive fumbling. Even with my crude use, I have been able to pull old photo golden carrots out of the dirt of noise and low resolution.

I have learned that my system, now 5 years old and than not top of the line graphics card [Nvidia 1050TI], requires me to do my editing before applying Gigapixel. Once enlarged with Gigapixel my system is mud-slow. I use Gigapixel and a standalone.

Thank you Linda for the "use your brain nudge" so i will know how to better use Gigapixel.

It depends. What's in your case and mobo?
Most PCs are like cars. Brand new- AM/Cassette, 6k mile tires, no AC. EZ/PZ fixes.
Look up your computer, at least the motherboard.
I just upgraded a niece's pc.
Replaced the 2ghz i3 cpu with a 3ghz i7, two empty ram slots got 8gb sticks (24gb now), and a 1tb boot ssd.
Older intel Mac Minis are fabulous with 16gb ram and a ssd.
I just picked up a HP 800 desktop. Still taking flower stickers off. NO hdd.
SO replaced the pos cpu with a spare Xeon, added a 4gb GPU and a 2tb ssd.
Everything was cost effective, and maybe an hour. Except for installing Windows.
