They just voted to have Mark Robinson be their Republican candidate for Governor.
This is the one guy that makes pig lagoons smell good.
Here's just a small excerpt from the NY Times article announcing his win:

Among Robinson's beliefs are:
Beyoncé’s songs sound “satanic,” and Jay-Z is “demonic.” Michelle Obama is a man. Gay and trans people are “filth.” The 1969 moon landing may or may not have been “faked.” Hitler is someone to be quoted, and of course, Donald Trump is someone to be believed on 2020 election conspiracy theories.

Let's hope the people of North Carolina have more intelligence than to elect this guy in November, but frankly, I doubt that they do.

Links? Mark is outspoken and he says a lot of interesting things, but if these "quotes" are real they're out of context. He has railed against the alphabet community forcing their agenda down the throats of elementary school kids and he gets a lot of support from everyday folks. His victory will be a landslide

I don't think it will be a landslide; definitely an election to watch. It will matter to voters if they like what Gov. Cooper has accomplished regarding, economy, education and Medicaid expansion.

Many of the black democrats in NC who could not vote for Mark Robinson in the primary will support him in the general. He will also get all the republicans who chose one of the other republican candidates yesterday because NC residents are pragmatists, not idealists.

Stein's support is only strong right around the research triangle and Charlotte. Mark will ride the coattails of Trump who will easily win NC. 13 percent of NC Democrat primary voters chose "no preference" over coloring in the box for Joe Biden yesterday. That's how much they love him.
