Funny Story

A woman just posted on nextdoor.com that she lost her engagement ring on a horse paddock. She got a man with a metal detector to look for it, but he came up empty. Five months later, her miniature horse dug it up on another part of the property. She is try to find the man to tell him that her horse found it.

I would like to have seen that as it developed. Did she ask the horse to keep an eye out for it? Did horse pound on the barn when he found it? Maybe he tried to eat it and had to spit it up. I've asked her for details.

There's all kinds of critters around horse paddocks. Could have been a squirrel or a bird or maybe even a pack rat.

I have a weird story
Early 1950 my mother very pregnant with youngest brother born soon after was sitting in beach embroidering something . ( In Chile summertime)
She used an old folding scissor that originally belonged to her grandmother.
She lost scissor in sand.
We looked everywhere, even use rakes to scour sand . Nothing.
A year later we were at same beach, my young brother sitting on a blanket trying to reach sand. Suddently he had scissors in his hands!
To this day 72 years later. Cannnot explain it.

I guess your family really liked that particular spot on the beach.

Yes! My parents went to that small beach for several years, stayed at Hotel just in front and set up day tent at foot of steps.
About 3 years later Hotel burned down. End of Cartagena vacations.
