Phone scammers...

Last week I received a text sent to me by 'mistake'.
I decided to see what that was about.
I was not disappointed, it was a textbook scam.

Because I was aware that these folks will use the history to create a 'vulnerability profile', I deleted it and set it to auto delete. Apparently, this setting can be undone from the other side...

Anyway, after my setting being undone, I had enough and sent this message:

I was aware of scams running from 'texts sent to the wrong person.'
I decided to see what that was about.

Issues I found while chatting with 'you'... (Who ever you are, male, female or even an 'it'.)
First I checked the scam history and found out that many of the scammers use the same scenario.
Well-to-do asian women working as executive in some startup.
Country of origin is often in Asia, first generation immigrant, single.
Funny enough, 'Annie' as a name is a favorite of scammers.
Trying to find 'common points of interest'. How can there be any when I am 67, married, and you claim to be 36...?
Sending pictures that are not requested showing a woman or an AI creation doing various things like tennis, golf... These pictures have been scrubbed so that the camera used and all information is hidden.
Said images are always taken by someone else, which by today's standard is an aberration: folks love to take selfies and share them.
The terms of endearment 'sweet dreams, friend, relaxing with you' are way too far off the scale to be taken seriously by anyone with half a brain.

Not e-mail, text image.

I wanted to see how far he/she/it will go.

You should forward that to me. I could really use a 36 year old hot Asian chick, especially one that uses such sweet terms of endearment. I will tell her to bring her mop and scrub bucket when she comes to see me.

check out John Oliver--he recently did a piece on this very scam. Much more to it than I thought

Why are you not reading?

I was observing what they would do.
