Remote shutter release for the Nikon Df

I know that the Df has the cable release socket and they also sell wire remote release as well as wireless release for it. But what I need is a cable release that has 2 wires coming out of it so I can connect it to the trigger device of my own. I know back in the film days Nikon sells such a cable for the motor drive. I don't see the equivalent with the digital cameras.

BH has cords by Impact and Vello with Nikon, Canon, etc, proprietary connector on one and standard 2.5mm TRS on the other end to fit various DIY projects. About $10 for the Vello DC2 for Nikons including the Df.

Too bad that the Df is one that doesn't have the 10 pin connector. This is what I had in mind but the Df doesn't have the 10 pin port

I rewrote that post due to finding further info .
Go back and re-read. No bananas but 2.5mm TRS plug can get you anywhere bananas can, maybe more. For other info you can call B&H.

the problem is that the Df has no 10 pin connector so that you can't plug the cable into the Df. No bananas no problem. I can simply use the TRS or cut the cable.

Vello lists the Df as usable with their DC 2 cable (second picture). That is all.

I use the remote steel cable from my Nikon Ftn film camera, it can be screw into the shutter release button to operate the shutter on my Df.

Like this one from Amazon:

Well I have the AR-3 cable release but I need to trigger the camera using my own device. Also the Nikon F and F2 take AR-2 cable release which isn't the same as the AR-3 for the Df and other cameras like the F3, FM, FE etc...

Okay, I understand that you want to use your own device (electronic device?)

Yes. I am going to build and automatic slide digitizer using a Kodak Carousel projector. I would modify the light source to provide cooler and more diffused which is better for copying rather than projecting. I would use an 80mm EL-Nikkor on the PB-6 bellow and sticking the lens right into the opening for the projection lens. I would build a controller to advance the slide then release the shutter and with some delay continue doing that for the whole tray.
