Since we had been to the locations before I decided to forgo the camera and use my Samsung S24 Ultra to see what I could capture. Here are five
Our trusty steed, the Carnival Dream with the moon in the background. Just the right size ship for us.

Flamingos at our first stop, Costa Maya. If you don't take an excursion there's not much to do except walk around the small port, shop, and maybe eat.

Second stop was Roatan, Honduras where we did a little swimming, ate lunch, and wandered around their little zoo.

Gulls on the right were fighting over a morsel of food one of them had dropped. The one on the left either didn't care or didn't notice.

Can't take photos with your phone without the obligatory selfie so here is our parting shot in Cozamel.

I think they look just fine.
We took the same cruise but out of New Orleans several years ago. How many passengers did the Carnival Dream accommodate?
Don
Thanks for sharing, Dean.
It looks as if that camera worked well for you.
Those look good. You should post them in the Smartphone Photography section.

Don, I think about 3500. I don't like the big 5000+ passanger ships. You have to wait in too many lines, and make reservations for just about everything. Just too crowded.

Thanks Wingpilot, I didn't realize that there was a Smartphone Photography section until after I had posted these. Thanks for the comment.
Hey Dean,
Great set! All good, but #3 is my favorite.
Some photographers might be surprised at how good they are, but I have the granddaddy of your phone (S22 Ultra) and I get similar results. They are amazing phones. Keep shooting.
Cheers,
Don
