I am not baking bread as often as I would like, I love baking bread..... ooooh the yeasty smell of fresh baked bread..oh how it fills the home.... slathered with salty farm-made butter and some homemade strawberry jam and a cup of coffee to wash it down. One slice two slices 3 slices four next thing ya know you can't get through the door.

Holy Mother of all that Smells/Tastes FANTASTIC in the
World of Food! You are one VERY versatile cook/photographer/artist there,
sourdough58! I can only imagine the vapor of Fresh Baked Bread, reminding me of the redolence of bread being baked by either of my Grandmothers and later
The Wife (albeit, from the bread machine, RIP in the landfill) (the bread machine, not the Wife, just to clarify...)!
These images tell a great story!! .... Whooohoo!!

WOW LOVE these photos. I LOVE bread and it is the downfall of my Diabetic numbers every morning when I check my sugar levels. OH this bread with the butter and the Jam, Strawberry is one of my favorites along with Peach. I think I know what is for lunch now. Thanks a lot sourdough, see what you did to my sugar numbers. LOL. Thanks BE SAFE!!

Thank you Justjill I appreciate your kind comments, the only problem with making the bread yourself is to appreciate it you have to go outside and then come back in to enjoy the yeasty smell of fresh made bread.
I gained a pound just looking!

These look like wonderful bread and wonderful photos. They made me try to look up how to make sourdough starter and how to bake it in a Dutch oven. Do you have any URLs to get us started? (BTW, I was thoroughly disgusted with several sites that peppered ads out on top of the text. I must run my monitor at 1128x634 dpi to make most text large enough to read. But I cannot read the text if there are fixed video ads on top of the text. Anyway, thanks so much for the mouth-watering photos.
Tom, during Covid, I was diagnosed with diabetes type 2, but I have discovered that, for me, the fat from butter does not raise my glucose levels. So, just try the bread with non-sugar jam and butter. --Richard
