An interesting (?) design, but not one of my favorites. That said, you never disappoint with your skill with a camera and your choice of backgrounds that complement the cars.

The most unique feature of this car is that the door opens and slides INTO the front fender. It also has a fiberglass body. Photo below from online.

Boy….thats a like/dislike design and color if there is one! But…there’s a beauty in those lines you can’t ignore. I’d love to drive it for a day and attempt to get over it.

All the Darrins I've seen have been that color. Maybe you could have any color you wanted as long as it was.... I recall a story that Kaiser had a contract with GM in 1948 or 49 or 50 to buy Oldsmobile V8 engines. Unfortunately for Kaiser the 49 and later Oldsmobiles were terrific sellers and GM had no spare engines to sell to Kaiser. Or so I heard. Imagine the Kaiser Manhattan sedan with an Olds 303 instead of the Lycoming flathead 6.
