I shot about a hundred pictures of a musical group a couple of nights ago. The room was rather dim, so I set the ISO at 12,800 on my D750, just to see how the pictures would turn out. I'm amazed! I would post some pictures, but the performers asked me not to. Actually, I think this guy would be okay with a posting.

Nikon 28-300mm at 200mm, f/6.3, 1/25, from far away. Some processing with Luminar Neo.

Are you sure the shutter speed is 1/25 and not 1/250?

1/25 is way too slow...

Next time try "Auto ISO" with F2.8 to F4 and 1/250 sec for single subject if moving. F2.8 for your 200mm is perfect. Set K value so your live screen matches what you see... ISO is not your main concern.

F6.3 i good for a wide shot with a whole band in focus at 28mm.

Nice image! Jerry's Nikon 28-300mm lens' maximum aperture is F3.5 and has VR so the quoted exposure setting and ISO is a good compromise. This lens gets mixed reviews, photographers either love it or not! I love it as I have two of them!

Be well! Ed

The noise isn’t bad but there is some blur.

With recent cameras ISO 12800 is the new ISO 200.

You missed a perfect opportunity to flick a couple of cherries in that target like Moe, Larry, and Curly did

Correction - That was 210mm, f/6.3, 1/60. There were several similar shots, and I originally posted the info for a different one. I was shooting in Aperture priority, and for a series of shots, I set the aperture at f/6.3. All shots were handheld by man old man, so some blur is not surprising. 😊
