Almost all pre-recorded cassetes are of type I tape. A few special ones are type II tape but still they recorded them with type I equalization so that it's compatible with all cassette players.

Tape, they're tape.
When you use them a lot you started to notice the differences like we have just lenses but then we notice wide angle and telephoto and zoom and macro etc...
That is why I am not qualified to answer the OP question.

I never noticed....
If not qualified, why answer?
(You said it, I didn't.)
Just an observation, someone made a lot of errors! You are supposed to run out of lead before you run out of eraser! However, been there, done that also!

I didn't answer the OP question. I post a lot of stuff about the cassettes but not the answer to the OP question. And I don't think anyone who frequents the Chit Chat section is qualified either.

I know one of the associations, the predominant one.
I may have forgotten the other....
A cassette and rewinding tool
1. To rewind tape.
2. To erase the tape so you can record something else.

Below is a photo -- there are two aspects of the cassette and pencil relationship. Can you name them?
I'm 69. I know the answers. Let's not ruin it for the under 30s. In any case I have a CD or LP version of that album. A nice compilation at that. Are there UHH'ers under 30?

You spoiled it. You're not 30 year old but in fact 80.1724845996 year old.

A while back a bunch of members posted their age - I got 83 of them in a spreadsheet - the average age is 80 - from 64 to 100. So odds are, there won’t be anyone under 30 answering the question.
Could it be to break the tabs on the top[ of the cassette so it cannot be overwritten. Sorry, forgot I was over 30. LOL
Could be, I didn't think of that. That could also break the pencil tip so I usually used a small screwdriver or knife tip. My answer below.
