Logitech M705 Mouse, Anyone?

I ordered a new cordless mouse so I would have one less wire to deal with. Thinking it would be better because it had a higher model number and a higher price, I ordered the Logitech M705. I'm not thrilled with this. In standard form, the wheel spins freely, which means the cursor or page moves more than I want it to when I use the wheel. I discovered that pushing on the top button adds clicks to the wheel, but they are so faint that I wasn't sure they were there. I think I'm going to return this and get an M505, which I've used before.

If any of you use the M705, I be glad to hear your opinions.

I had one, didn't like it.
I use a Logitech M325.
Smaller and nicer to use.

I got the M185 which I bought for my wife. Don't really know how well it works. I only use mouse with a tail.

If I catch one of them in a trap, my dog removes it and brings it in to me.

I've been using a Microsoft Mobile Mouse 3500 for years for the laptop.
The smaller size fits my palm very well.
(I just use the wireless HP mouse that came with the desktop.)

I have a smaller mouse for the laptop. It takes up less room in the case.

I just realized I also have a 4000 in the closet, it has an additional button on the left side. I might swap it with the 3500....
I did like that one more.

Come to think of it, I suspect I have an M325 sitting in a box with other stuff.

I've had several different mice over the last couple of years, and the 705 is what I have now. The scroll wheel works just fine, but the cursor sticks, jumps around, and is generally annoying. This problem is why I keep changing, and so far, I haven't found one that doesn't do that eventually. If I unplug and try a different USB port, it will be okay for a while and go back to its erratic behavior. My Wacon tablet doesn't do this, but I prefer the mouse for general point-and-click stuff.

M225 and M500 worked fine, so I'll get one of them - unless I find one in a box around here somewhere.

I have an M705 and love it. The thumb buttons on the side are terrific for browsing back and forth between websites. The only issue I have with it is even when it is free-wheeling (no clicks) it will go too far up or down on a page. I wish the increments on the wheel position were smaller.

That's why I'm returning it.

Can't help you with the M705, but I had a Logitech Ergo and hated it. I retired it after about 3 weeks.

Try an MX Master 3. Wireless. Charge (usb c) holds for weeks if not months, and it lets you know when to plug it in for a boost. Same for the MX keyboard. Both can be used while charging. It can also switch between three computers, which is something I don't use or need, but it is hands down the best mouse I've ever used and has a bunch of programmable buttons/controls which are handy for LR and PS work.
