Just this morning I was made aware that the new Fuji X100VI is going to be released 2/28/24.

Priced at $1599 in black or silver. I am very interested, as I wanted a new X100V for some time, but never could find it new.

I received an announcement from Adorama about this. I'm betting it is going to be another big seller for FujiFilm.

Great news. Maybe now this will help reduce the prices of the used x100 F & V models so I can finally afford one.

Lots of new features including mush more megapixels.
I have never bought one because I find the 35mm my least favorite lens. I much prefer my 24-105 f4 Sony for general and street photography.

Isn’t it a 23mm?

I’m not being critical. I’ve never owned a Fujifilm and have certainly bought plenty of things because “I simply wanted one”….but why all the excitement?

I have had a Fuji X 100 V for sometime and it is a great camera, easy to use, with 26 megapixels, lots of Fuji film simulations to choose from, a hybrid viewfinder. etc. The photos coming out of this camera are really really good. It has been selling recently for more than its original asking price. The new camera has 40 megapixels and lots of new features and I’m sure it will be very very popular!

I have the Fujifilm X100V and absolutely love it. If I can sell my X100V for more than I paid for it and buy the new X100VI why wouldn’t I do that? The new version also has 6 stop IBIS and my current X100V doesn’t. Sounds like a no brainer to me.

Yes - the actual lens focal length of the lens is 23mm. Coupling that the crop sensor it provides a field of view akin to what a 35mm lens provides on a full frame camera. For that reason the camera is generally represented as having a 35mm “equivalent” lens.

It has a built in digital converter,
that with a twist of a ring surrounding the lens, can go from 35mm to 50mm to 75mm (full frame equivalent). so you do have some flexibility with this Camera, which has proved very helpful for me in many situations.
