Jewelers have an eye for details that might be of value in photography. Attention to details can give added life to composition. Thank you for the visual tour with your bro, who must be the elder of you two?

Thank you, David. My brother—also a David—is two years younger than I.

Quite an interesting subject... for me. Looks like he is well set up for jewelry work. The welding side never interested me, but I used to enjoy faceting, a little. You never really knew how the 'rock' would look until you took it off the dop. It was quite fascinating to see the final result. I hated selling the 'stuff' I made...

Thanks, Doug. This is the back room of his jewelry store. Were you a professional jeweler or a hobbyist? Either way, thanks for looking, and for the kind words.

Thank you for sharing these. I am curious about you and your brother both having the name David. Is this a common practice of your faith? I don't know any other way to approach this other than simply asking? Your brother looks like an interesting fellow. Unless I miss my wager, I bet there were some interesting conversations around the family table when you and David were younger. Thanks again.

No, I’m Ben. Only one David! But any question is a good question, and I appreciate you taking a look at the thread. I’m happy to say that my brother is my best friend in the world. I’m very lucky that way.

Ben, I'm whacking the side of my head. You were responding to a poster also named David, thus your response.
