What’s with the rudeness? Don’t you know how to disagree in a gentlemanly respectful way?

When people repeatedly say false things they need to be corrected. Misstating truth is not just a difference of opinion, it is factually wrong and needs to be pointed out clearly so the offenders understand they have made a mistake. In your case, you persisted in denying that you were wrong even after the facts were presented, so you brought it on yourself.

The tone from your first post has been rude, aggressive and condescending - it was never polite. It may seem foreign to you, but it is possible to correct incorrect data or disagree without being abusive. Do you speak this way to people face to face? This is NOT the way to make UHH a welcoming forum where respectful discourse can occur. People don’t “need to be corrected”, YOU seem to need to “correct” them, which is fine, but it needs to be done in a respectful manner.

How about this: “ I believe your data is in error, perhaps you’re looking at gross sales? The correct number for Amazon’s yearly profit and year over gear growth is…” (followed by an appropriate link). How hard is that?

In the big scheme of things, who cares? If Jerry doesn't agree with your point of view or statistics, is it worth losing your cool over it? There is no reason to be hostile. Just move on.

I don't have Prime so I watch Prime Freevee and it's free. There are ads but it's OK to me.

Please don't make Amazon look like a struggling mom and pop store. Making over $256,000,000,000 (billion) in profit - an18.52% increase - is nothing to sneeze at. When they raise the price of Prime and add more commercials to their movies, they will make even more.

Amazon net profit margin as of December 31, 2023 is 5.29%.

Amazon gross profit for the twelve months ending September 30, 2023 was $256.202B, a 18.52% increase year-over-year.

So stop paying them Jerry.

I'm waiting for a company to come up with a plan that would say look, we understand how commercials interrupt the viewing experience so we are going to do three minutes of commercials at the beginning of a show, a one-minute commercial halfway through, and three minutes between shows. If it weren't for commercials, all exporters of content would be charging high prices for their downloads. I would rather have some commercials and pay 15-19 for a service than the 70 they charge for the ones that are commercial-free. If I had to pay for all the services I currently receive, the bill would be around 350.00! That would be more than I was paying for cable.

Two years ago I quit the cable service that was charging 235.00 a month and started steaming. Now I pay around 140 a month for most of the year but for five months I add Sling for football and basketball and pay 210. After the Nov. to March period, I drop Sling and go back to the 140-a-month billing.

The difference is 2820 vs. 2030, or a savings of about 65.00 a month.
