Thanks for the visit and thumbs GeneM, Birdguide, and tlbuljac ! The P. Gallinule was out for about 1 minute and then disappeared under the lilypads which were sticking out of the water about 8 inches - enough for him to walk under - and never to be seen again ! It's the first time I have seen them eat the innerds of a lily bud.
Very nice shots but not sure what GBH represents.
I love them! Good job with this illusive and rare find, the Purple Gallinule!!
