Kudos to you! Those are beautiful jumping pictures, and you even got beautiful backgrounds.

Thank you Kathy appreciate your comment. You can more around outside the arena almost 360 degrees but you are limited on where to stand due to the placement of the jumps. Backgrounds are pretty much in the line of the jump.

That's great photography, Don. I agree with Ken....takes guts and talent, for both horse and rider.

Agree with both of you Tom. When you zoom in you can see the focus and concentration of both horse and rider. Don't think I could come close to doing what they do. Appreciate you stopping by and the kind compliment.

The Split Rock Jumping Tour was held at Terra Nova Equestrian Center on 1/25/24 to 1/28/2024. The place was packed and had national exposure. The grand prize was $100,000.00!
Hope you enjoy.

Nice shooting. You can tell from the height of the jumps that this is an event for professionals. Equestrian events are one of the few sports where men and women compete equally. And as far as I know, that applies to most equestrian sports. I've not seen women compete against men in rodeo or polo but I'll bet they could.

I like the way you've capture these horses at the peak of their jump. Takes real timing. Good job.

Appreciate your kind words Reuss. Still learning how to shoot this sport. Have only been out to Terra Nova twice. Don't know if the men and women are competing against one another or if they are separate, will have to find out. You may be right because they only had one grand prize of $100,000.00.
Will be posting more from this event soon.

In hunter/jumper events like this, men and women compete against each other worldwide including the Olympics.
