Owned/drove a standard 1970 bug for a number of years--loved it. I've never seen anything like what is pictured. Would love to have seen it in person.
I'm surprised that VW never made on like that. Remember the Rolls Royce front ends that used to be installed on VWs?
Stretching used to be a popular modification. I remember seeing pictures of a very stretched Mini.

You couldn't see it in person because it isn't real. The lack of a door seam pretty much settles it.

Maybe they didn't because they had the VW Bus. A stretch Bug would have been redundant!
Interesting photo. I have never seen a VW like that...K.A.N.

Saw this on one of my Facebook pages, I’d owned several Vw’s in my younger days but have never seen one quite like this one. Have anyone ever seen anything like this before??
There’s some weird stuff in this image that makes me think it is an AI generated image.

Oooppps! Shoulda read all the posts 😩🥺
IF that was a REAL model of some kind, was it a European model of a predecessor to the VW station wagon?
What was that station wagon called.....the VW Squareback?
Yep, my father had one.
He sold it to the neighbor across the street who drove it for many years.
A Volkswagen with a real trunk.

They made a prototype similar to that. But look on the Fusca Bala (image - bottom left) facebook page for all sorts of things thay can do with bugs.
