A serious analysis of the failings of various “ancient aliens” claims.

The claims are just that — they do not even rise to the level of Hypothesis, and certainly not to the level of scientifically verifiable Theory.

A long (3 hr) analysis.

Got to visit the Pyramids in Egypt & Mexico -- Without a doubt -- Hard-working humans designed & built them

I believe that what people with these "alien" theories miss, is just how quickly humans learn. Pyramids are probably the most sturdy, and conceptually easy to design. Ancient civilizations didn't have any distractions from the stated goal of building things. It wasn't like there were any outside distractions like we have today (television, telephone, computers, etc.). And many folks don't know that the workers on the Egyptian pyramids were paid.

I've also visited the pyramids in Mexico, and I consider them the output of people who were dedicated to a job, and never lost sight of the end result. The lines of the low walls along the walk between Pyramid Del Sol and Pyramid De La Luna are as straight as a die.

Its a funny thing about being slave. Whether you're forced to build a pyramid in Egypt or South America, one thing for sure, screw up and you die. Maybe that is why the lines are straight as a die.

It's a myth that the Egyptian pyramids were built by slaves. There may have been some slave labor, but the majority of the workers were paid for their labor. Too much skilled labor was needed, such as stonemasons, stone cutters, draftsmen, surveyors, boat wrights, etc.

Let's face it. The people producing these alien theory movies are in it for the money. If they don't produce they don't get paid. And...They have such a gullible audience.

I doubt that "ancient aliens" visited our planet. The reason is all we need to do is look back to the time when Europeans came to the Americas plundered its resources and devastated the natives with the diseases, they brought with them. Why would anyone believe visitors from afar would have done anything different?

I really envy you because you seem to know everything that there is to know.

I can understand pyramids being built by people…and things like the Easter island heads and Stonehenge. However…there are those drawings in the dessert…some of which are a mile or so long…and since the ancients couldn’t fly how could they have laid them out so precisely? And why…since they can only be seen from the air? And some of the, have arrows pointing tens to hundreds of miles away very precisely.

And…although we have no proof either way…with the size of the universe and assuming life evolved…the likelihood that in the billions of galaxies with billions of stars it only happened once is laughably small. Entire civilizations could have evolved, explored, and died in a supernova before our sun was even born.

One can’t prove it either way…but the likelihood of intelligent life either before sun existed or now is essentially 100%. Now whether one is close enough to see their radio emissions or not or travel here or not…but just as the Egyptians would be mystified by smart phones and movies…humans today would be equally mystified by tech that a race 25,000 years more advanced might have. They would/could look at faster than light travel and wormhole transits and teleportation as everyday things like we consider smartphones and and MILC.

Aliens will not bother to set foot on our planet… until they need a source of protein!!!

If they build anything, it would be a meat processing plant.

We will likely never know alien contact before our own species goes extinct — which it will. The universe is too big and getting bigger.

Are we even sure other life-forms would attempt to communicate using radio waves?
Maybe they use gravity, or light, or ?

The use of radio-waves as communication by the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) has been restricted to specific frequencies, however this is changing(**) and wider search parameters may provide more chances for ETI confirmation.

Some predictions of the probabilities of communicating-beings “out there” somewhere.
The famous (or to some ‘infamous’) Drake equation(*) supposedly predicts the probability of life in the vastness of the Universe.

A problem is we (humans):
A. May not have identified all the parameters, and:
B. Do not know enough about some of the parameters listed!
~~~~~~~~~~~
(*) The Drake equation is a probabilistic argument used to estimate the number of active, communicative extraterrestrial civilizations in the Milky Way Galaxy. (Appended at end).
The equation was formulated in 1961 by Frank Drake, not for purposes of quantifying the number of civilizations, but as a way to stimulate scientific dialogue at the first scientific meeting on the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI). The equation summarizes the main concepts which scientists must contemplate when considering the question of other radio-communicative life.
It is more properly thought of as an approximation than as a serious attempt to determine a precise number.
Criticism related to the Drake equation focuses not on the equation itself, but on the fact that the estimated values for several of its factors are highly conjectural, the combined multiplicative effect being that the uncertainty associated with any derived value is so large that the equation cannot be used to draw firm conclusions.
(**) SETI, the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, has traditionally focused on radio frequencies higher than a gigahertz, such as the hydrogen-line frequency at 1.42 GHz. SETI astronomers tend to shy away from lower frequencies because Earth's atmosphere renders observations noisy.
However, Europe's Low Frequency Array, or LOFAR for short, is specially designed to conduct radio astronomy at these very frequencies.
“The Low Frequency Array (Lofar) is the world’s most sensitive low-frequency telescope, operating from 10-250 MHz. It’s composed of 52 radio telescopes with more on the way, spread across Europe. These telescopes can reach a high resolution when used in unison.”
~~~~~~~~~~

”This search used the high band antennas to listen for radio signals at frequencies of between 110 and 190 MHz. Primarily, the search is looking for leakage from high-power transmitters, such as planetary radar or communications with spacecraft. The search encompassed 1,631,198 target star systems identified by NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) and the European Space Agency's Gaia astrometric probe.”

There was a great short story about how scientists discovered that the a pulsating star was actually sending a message sort of like Morse code. They assembled a couple of hundred years of records and it spelled out, "Our world is finished due to a horrible enemy that will come for your world. You need to prepare by......."

Someone asked WHERE the rest of the message is? The scientists told them, "It isn't here yet. It will take another 300 years."
