I was very interested in going on a tour of the park,
especially to see the Hercules Missile launch site.
At the beginning of the tour, our guide pointed out that the blue butterfly was endangered and very rare.
It was very hard to capture, flying fast and low.
I hope that you enjoy these shots

Does anyone know what type of butterfly?

I had to look them up.
The next to last is a Purple Gallinule.
The last one is a Double-crested Cormorant

Fun set, fortunately the Nike's or the HAWKS didn't have to fly. I was there from '62 to '65 living in a tent I don't mean to be critical but when I was there things that fly were, in order of shear numbers, Mosquitos, Horse Flies and Deer Flies.

In my opinion, the butterfly is an Atala butterfly. Eumaeus atala. Often seen here in South Florida.
