None of these, I had a 1954 Buick Century* with a 1955 Buick Road Master v8 engine. I drove that from 12th grade, halfway through my second year of college when the engine blew. I went to the local salvage guy's garage and bought a 1949 Studebaker for $35 to finish the college year before moving to So. California to live with my Mom and Step Father.
I got a job to buy another car and get back in college but got my draft notice before I could afford a car. So I said, "Hell no, you aren't drafting me!" and enlisted in the regular army.
When I came home after discharge in Jan '69 I picked up a 1969 Chevelle 4 door V8 I bought from the GM rep at the PX in Vietnam. They delivered it to a big dealer near the LA Airport a week after I got home and the next day was my Mom's day off so she drove me over and dropped me off so I could pick it up. I drove that until 1976 when a light went red in front of me on a rainy day. I braked, but bad luck, I was on an oil slick and a down hill slope so in spite of going slow in the rain I slid right into the first car going through the light, totaled both cars.

Thanks.

I still miss that Chevelle. It is the car my wife and I drove to Disney World, then my hometown in Kentucky and finally my Dad's in St Louis before coming back to Southern California in Dec73/Jan74 on our Honeymoon.

I can close my eyes and see Debra with a pillow on the sill of the open passenger window around 2AM looking straight up at a totally clear Texas night sky, going OH! And AHH! for hours.
She was born and raised in the LA Metro Area, where the light pollution is so bad only a few of the brightest stars are visible to the eye.

I had a 1951 Caddy Hearse/Ambulance. It had a rattle can pink racing stripe. For some reason my GF's Dad always made me take his Ford Fairlane on our dates.

ETA: the Mel's drive-in pictured above was the same design as the "Y" drive-in in Kansas City.

1963 was the year I got my license. I grew up driving tractor and farm truck before the license. My first car was a 1951 Hudson. Not my choice of the ones we (myself, Mom and Dad) checked out but when Mom said, "Do you want the Hudson, or do you want to wait a while?" Of course I drove the Hudson home surrounded by the safety of lots of iron. I had a part time job and could have afforded the beautiful 39 Chevy coupe painted yellow but given the choice of no car or the Hudson.... I'd like to have either car today. Or the 1949 DeSoto my uncle left with us when he joined the Army for the second time. He wrote home and told Dad to sell it and send him the money. Nobody asked me... lol...
