Another little walk off the road to Little Gibbon Falls. Trailhead east of Ice Lake toward Canyon.
The Gibbon River begins near the center of YNP at Grebe Lake, creates a small and little visited waterfall, Little Gibbon Falls, about a mile from the road as it flows southward towards Ice Lake and the Grand Loop. It flows towards Norris and then forms Gibbon Falls, a popular attraction, and then joins the Firehole River, the river that flows near Old Faithful, at Madison Junction where they form the Madison River. The Madison River runs northwest into Three Forks, Mt, where it and the Jefferson River form the headwaters of the Missouri River, the longest river in the United State, and within a couple miles is joined by the Gallatin River from YNP. The Missouri River is a tributary of the Mississippi River.

Thank you. Short hikes can add to the experience!
Good morning! Lookin' good for a bit!
Thank you for your comment! I'm hoping to maybe stimulate visitors to get away from the car a bit and at the same time appreciate more than the wildlife.
Thanks much! Not much in the way of vantage points to shoot Little Gibbon and the walk was somewhat better than the falls!
Good trail with several openings.

Nice and attractive shot - but with my luck on a path like that, a motorcycle gang would be coming from the opposite direction 😲😲😲
