Several types of transportation that people have used at one time or another.
Near Mantorville, MN I found this old tracked car (?) with skis on the front and tracks on the back. I can just see someone going around in this towing his friends out of ditches.

The IRS (first initials, last names of our traveling group) in Terlingua, TX in the Big Bend area. We are in and behind an old four wheel drive in front of the Starlight Theater, a bar/theater/eatery which was really the only place to eat.

Backbreaker in Grapevine, TX where I slipped and ruptured a disc in my back requiring surgery.

Broken down buggy in Foreston, TX has certainly seen better days but I bet it transported a few people in it's day.

I remember stories about those old tracked cars, they were used by the Post Office to deliver mail in the rural areas. I've seen pictures of them but never the real ones.
Good ones, particularly #1.
Dodie, I'm fine now. Just a little stiff some mornings.
This one was about 25 yards off the road. There was no fence there but it was cold as the devil and I had the grandkids with me so I didn't get to get any other shots. Went back a year later and it was gone.
The original snowmobile starting out a great set.
