It was a pain paging through the posts to count the votes, then there were 18 latecomers who voted after the last tally was made.
I found a rudimentary Poll routine at W3 Schools. It simply did one question with either a yes or no answer....
It only showed the stats after one voted....
So I decided to reverse engineer it, and created an on-line poll based on the code.
Mine shows the state before one votes. This way people won't be voting to check the stats.
I'm not keeping track of WHO is voting, too much code involved.
It took a few hours in-between errands today, but I think it works, as long as people don't abuse it.
I seeded it with the last results from my UHH poll and added the last 18 latecomers.
I wanted to post here because not everyone views the links forum.
So I'll post the link in a subsequent post here.
In order to keep the data a bit more reliable, if you already answered the poll, please don't answer again, skewing the data. But if you want to add a friend not on UHH, that will work. (I can reset the data and everyone can start again if REALLY desired.)
I'll leave the poll on the web for a long time, maybe removing it next year, since it can be checked without voting.
Oh, I want to add a total votes count so no one has to add the three.
If I were to interpret your poll numbers, it appears that 44% are control freaks, 15% don’t give a hoot and 41% are control freaks that don’t give a hoot.

Perception....
(That's getting to be one of my favorite words here.)

This is where the poll is not correct. While you are correct in saying 44% that shoot raw are control freaks and 15% that shoot JPEG don't give a hoot. The 41% that shoot raw and JPEG are not control freaks that don't give a hoot.

The poll is correct, in as much as that's what the respondent's cameras are set to save.
The interpretation of the poll results in some cases, not so much.

I believe you are correct. The 41% are the doomsday believers with insecurity issues. I bet not only do they shoot both, they use cameras with dual card slots and save that info to a dual drive computer as well as saving to the cloud. Never can be too safe you know.
Oh, I bet if you look under their bed you will find a years worth of dehydrated food and gold and silver coins buried in the back yard. Just in case the end of the world should come you know. Some of us may laugh but if the end of the world does come (as we know it), we will be the ones with egg on our faces. And without a doubt if it does, there will be RAW shooters there to record the end of it. They won’t be able to process those shots but they will have the satisfaction of knowing that they got every detail saved.

Can't be too cautious???
I still think that dual slot cameras were created so of one changed brands, one would not have to buy all new cards.
The camera will use either card form.
If they were intended for "backup" why would they use two different card forms, why not just two slots of the same card form?

That third catagory really speaks to me !

Neither.
They did it just to bug you (and others). I assure you most sincerely that this is NOT sarcasm nor cynicism.
My perzonal approach is the one I learned before kindergarten. Square peg in square hole, round peg in round hole. A dual slot camera is just an expensive "educational" plaything for "adults".
Wow, the poll went from the base of 396 votes to 438 in less that 24 hours.
And still the same averages.
Gonna be interesting.

As a 41%er I don't believe I have insecurity issues (nor security issues for that matter). I do think I recognize the value of having insurance. All my cameras have dual slots but one of them has two slots using the same format. My MacBook Pro has only one drive but my old Win10 laptop has two. I use external drives on both. I have a cloud backup account. When it comes to backup you can't be too paranoid.
I took a look under my bed and found stuff I didn't have any space for elsewhere in the apartment, plus a number of things that the cat dragged in (he finds the bed a valuable place to hide). And, as might be expected, a LOT of dust. I saw nothing that could be construed as food, dehydrated or not. Last year we sold our house, and the back yard went with it. Any gold or silver items were included.
Most of my camera stuff is in storage while we are searching for a house so we have enough room to find things, so when the end of the world comes I will probably be using my iPhone to record the event.
