Here's a D7200 that got wet and refuses to come back alive. Consider it only for parts. (Don't let me know if it comes back to life on its own.) Also, the Nikon Strap, charger, Vello battery grip (also fits D7100), owner's manual, Nikon D7200 for dummies book and a small camera bag. All for the unbelievably low price of $100, delivered to the lower 48. Sorry, no batteries included. Check or money order preferred.

Just curious, but did it get rained on or did it take a dunk?

Rained on. I was hiking and mid way when the showers began. While the camera and I got wet, we weren't drenched. It was an hour back to the car but when I dried everything off, it was curtains for the 7200.

Bad luck. I assume you tried to have Nikon take a look at it--to no avail. It would be heart-breaking for me to lose my D7200. Of the several cameras that I own, it's a favorite.

It was sad to see it die as its in otherwise perfect shape. It too was my favorite of the 5 Nikons I have. They are valued from 4 to 5 hundred and I didn't think it was worth the repair attempt, particularly if it couldn't be repaired. But it very well could be if whatever happened to it isn't extensive.

You don't sell the battery and charger with it? If I were to buy it and try to fix it, it would be quite expensive to get a battery and a charger in order to test it.

The charger comes with it. The battery from it fits another camera of mine. Since batteries are readily available and not that expensive, I just as soon retain mine rather than give it away for a purpose that may never be utilized.

Just FYI, putting it in a container of raw rice has dried out cell phones....
