Yeah, they'll pass you by... Do you hear the screams of super-powered engines, the squealing tires sliding around the curve, the smell of oil, gasoline, and burning rubber? The sights and sounds of the races are quiet for these old friends now. However, the memories of the days that were will always be there.

Great shot,Tommy.

That scene strikes a real chord with me. Cars have been a large part of my life, as were all of the people that shared that world with me.

I can’t put my finger on it but there is a mood or feeling in that shot I find beautiful.
The story brought out by the two cars and the dreamy soft look of the gorgeous scenery.
Whatever it is I like it!

Great image

Reminds me of going to a super modified dirt track Race with my Ex and my youngest Daughter, I told them don't sit on the curves!!! three guesses where they sat, Then bitched all the way home about the dust and mud in their hair.

Nice capture! Little or no snow in the Flathead Valley?

This image was taken a couple of months ago. We did have a late start to winter here in the Valley, but a couple of weeks ago we had -40 and a big snow dump. Love that Montana weather!

It's awesome to find those hiding (in past history).
The drivers might not make his grandkids, to believe
grandpa's stories of the "glory days" of bumping fenders,
and the roll overs, that he encountered, but the sleeping
machines might help grandpa's story, just a bit.
Great photo find.
