Bee Hummingbird

Bee Hummingbird is the smallest hummer in the world. I was just in Cuba, my 5th, time. We did quite a bit of birding. We went to a private home, the owner makes his own feeders. It was an amazing experience.
Sony A7IV with a Tamron 28-200 f/2.8-5.6 lense.
Comments welcome.

Nice shots! I was stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in the Navy. This was before the prison. No contact with the Cubans, there is a minefield between two razor wire fences. But great birds and great Diving! I would love to go back and see the civilian part of Cuba!

I have been there 5 times. I work with 2 Cuban Americans who own the travel agency. We stay in private homes and travel with a team of young guys with classic cars. We do not to anything with the government.

Let me know if you want to go!! I can arrange it.

I am still working on my images from my trip there last week. Here are some on my website.

We went birding with 2 different guides. It was awesome to find a Cuban Pygmy Owl.

Do you fly out of Canada? I don't think there are any U.S. airlines that are allowed to fly there.
Very cool Owl!

I have never had to fly out of Canada. I think people think that Americans can't go to Cuba but this is absolutely NOT true. Last week I flew American Airlines from JFK to Havana, then Santa Cruz, Cuba to JFK.

The license my travel agents have is *For the people* Even when trump, changed the rules we still were able to go. The only difference that time is we had to fly in and out of Havana. One time I had a direct flight from JFK to Havana.

The owl was such a great find. We also went to 2 waterfalls, 2 different birding locations. One has flamingos. I am still working on images.
