The Supreme Court has agreed to take on the case regarding whether or not States can remove Trump from the Ballot under Article 14.

I look forward to their decision, whether I agree with it or not remains to be seen.

Why the qualifer? We know you don't support Trump. You know how you would feel about this if the court rules that the states can't remove Trump. What are your thoughts about the move in Illinois to remove Biden from the ballot?

Those are two very different cases. In one case we have a President who supported and still supports the January 6th insurrectionists and could be found guilty of providing aid and comfort.
In the second case, there was no insurrection and the border crisis wouldn't fit the definition of one. The 14th Amendment doesn't support this move and is clearly in retaliation for Trump's removal.
As to whether or not Trump gets removed, I'd support his removal but a better outcome would be for him to get trounced in the general election and for added fun, gets sent to prison after being found guilty of at least some of the 91 felonies he's charged with.
Think about it. If Biden could be removed due to the border crisis, why wasn't Trump removed when it went unchecked under his presidency?
In the end, Trump is unfit to be President of this great nation and I'll never understand his supporters.

Just curious, how many people were charged and convicted of insurrection? When you were in law enforcement did you call a petty thief or burglar a bank robber?

Does it matter if the 14th amendment further describes the transgression as insurrection or rebellion and does not require a charge nor conviction of either?

It's the ambiguity that opens the door for the myriad of IL challenges and other states' challenges to Biden.

I believe it's a moot point.

To date, more than 950 people have been charged with crimes committed on January 6th, including Seditious Conspiracy.
This is the definition of Sedition:
two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

Hope that was helpful.

Your explanation is not unexpected given your previous positions on Trump, but it's not as simple as you make it out to be. In Trump's Illinois case, objectors say the Republican inspired the U.S. Capitol insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021 and should be barred from running in 2024. That is being adjudicated now. Objectors in Biden's case assert he has "given aid or comfort to the enemies" during his time as a U.S. senator, vice president, and president. The objectors define China, Iran, Sinaloa Cartel and MS-13 as foreign enemies and detail in-part how Biden has assisted them.

"Biden has given aid and comfort to enemies of the Constitution and the United States by, among other things, failing to enforce the laws of the United States, allowing entry of enemy agents illegally into the country including tens of thousands of military age men, and abandoning assets of the United States to the possession of our enemies," the objectors wrote in their filing.

In the opinion of one of the objectors, the major difference in these cases comes down to the oaths that Biden took as a senator and vice president compared to the one Trump took as president. The presidential oath of office requires the president to "preserve, protect, and defend" the Constitution, whereas other federal officials take an oath to “support” the Constitution.

In any case, the matter is now going before Illinois State Board of Elections, a bipartisan, eight-member electoral board, who has heard several challenges to presidential candidates in recent years.

Your statement about the border under Trump is nonsense and has been the subject of numerous other discussions. There's no value in going back over all of that again. The consensus is that overall encounters under the Biden administration have continued to trend higher than in previous years before decreasing last June. While the number of migrant encounters has fallen, those figures remain significantly higher than when Trump was in office. They are on the rise again now.

Quite familiar with the definition so use the term sedition and not insurrection.

Well not arguing the truth of the matter asserted but call it what it is. Semantics matter don’t they?

Some day, you'll wake up and realize that Trump is a traitor and a failure.
Who took the side of Putin against our government?
Who failed to adequately address the Covid crisis?
Who increased the national debt by more than one trillion dollars?
Who refused to accept the results of a lawful election?
Who, stated that he'd be a dictator on day one if re-elected?
Who stated he wants to terminal sections of the Constitution?
Who failed to build his, "big beautiful wall that Mexico was going to pay for"?
Keep supporting him, the way the citizens of Germany supported Adolf Hitler in 1939, but don't forget to call the leftists, "fascists", while you support taking away people's rights and banning books.
Keep supporting him.

At this point I really don't care but I do wonder about those Capitol Police that were essentially guiding the "insurrectionists" about. Did they all go to prison too for aiding and abetting?....because it would seem seriously hypocritical to punish one group and not the others.

Most Trumpers will never wake up.
