Time to time I see old thread like 10 year old thread revive because someone add a new post to the thread. My question is how these people see these old thread to add the new post?

I have often wondered about this, since sometimes they don't even seem to realize it's an old thread. the only thing I can think of is they are searching for a specific subject and don't check the date. The problem is that then people see the thread and don't look at the date, so they think it is new.

I don't often look at the date but I wouldn't see old thread unless someone add a new post to it.

I don't blame the people who add onto a resurrected thread without realizing it. One clue is when a thread shows up that I haven't seen before which already has many pages of responses, so then I look at the date.

Any time you post or respond to a topic, that post is permanently stored in your “Watched Topics” section. I still have a few 10-year old posts stored in mine because they have information or links I don’t want to lose. I could easily resurrect one by adding a new response to it. One possible explanation, I suppose.

All you have to do is click on their Avatar, it brings up their history, go down to their post and you are there, it will show every post that they ever posted.

You can unwatch a topic at any time. There is a button above the beginning of a topic, and other places.

Try the "bookmarks" feature for saving topics you'd like keep handy. Or create a "personal" page where you can store links.

Finding an eight-year old topic in dozens or hundreds of pages of watched topics doesn't sound very easy to me

Ummm, Begs the question... It would be interesting to have a section of "OLD postings", of particularly BlackS2, and Brent Harders photos??? Both of whom have passed away.

Dead members' accounts are not de-activated. Here are all of Brent Harder's topics and comments:

You'd like Admin to create a separate section, an "in memory of" kind of thing? Would someone need to supply an obituary for the dead member?

THANKS! They sure did post some wonderful photos. I was inspired by Blacks2 to visit Alaska, via his photo's!
Using your reply I was able to go to Blacks2 also! I tried to locate their obituary(s), to no avail.

Go to all sections. Pick one of the sections & scroll down & look at the dates. Just mu guess having seen some old post in them. How to find a particular old thread, I wouldn't even try more than a couple of days to a week old.
